CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

The Design, Automation & Test in Europe (DATE) Conference and Exhibition is the main European event bringing togetherelectronic design automation (EDA) developers and users, researchers and vendors, as well as specialists in hardware and software, design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems. In 2011 the DATE week (March 14-18) will take place in Grenoble, France. The DATE tutorials and workshops are an integral part of the conference, complementing the regular conference programme running throughout the DATE week.

The Monday's programmeoffers 3 full-day and 8 half-day tutorials providing an excellent opportunity to attendees for receiving informative education by preeminent domain experts. Most of the speakers are from world leading EDA, semiconductor and ystem industries, such as ARM, Enel, Centro Ricerche Fiat, Freescale, IBM,Infineon, Intel, NXP Semiconductors, Mentor Graphics, Silicon Hive, ST-Ericsson, STMicroelectronics, Synopsys and Thales. They will show how to cope ith real-life design, verification and test challenges in complex system-on-chip design. Selected topics are timely and relevant, such as low-power system-on-chip (SoC) design, electronic system level design and verification, 3D SoC design and manufacturing and many more. Automotive electronics andrenewable energy applications will be specifically addressed, as well as designing cost-effective robust systems. Tutorials details and speakers' biographies are available at http://www.date-conference.com/conference/monday-at-a-glance.

The Friday's programmeincludes eight workshop themes ranging from embedded systems and SOC design to 3D integration, FPGA-based acceleration and processor emulation. The embedded systems field, of growing interest to the DATE community, is covered by three workshops focused on embedded parallel computing platforms, predictability and performance in embedded systems, and model based engineeringmethods. The SOC workshops explore hardware dependent software solutions and micro power management for macro SOCs.

Building on the success from the previous two years, the 3D integration workshop covers abroad spectrum of topics from technology to commercialization. Two new DATE workshops on FPGA-based acceleration and processor emulation respectivelywrap up the large variety of themes from the Friday's programme, which canbe found at http://www.date-conference.com/conference/friday-at-a-glance.

The registration details can be found at http://www.date-conference.com/main/registration. We look forward to you joining us for a successful DATE 2011 week in Grenoble.
